American Larch
Display by Mark Arpag
About this display
Mark Arpag
This American Larch, styled by Mark Arpag, was acquired at a club auction around ten years ago as a tall, thin specimen. The tree features nuanced trunk movement, quirky bends, and aged bark, which Mark highlighted during restyling. It was first displayed at the 2021 U.S. National Bonsai Exhibition as part of a composition called Literati Land. The current display, Literati Land II, includes two smaller trees, a suiseki, and artwork to create a narrative about the Adirondacks.
