This Limber Pine, collected by Scott Elser from northeast Oregon, thrives in arid, rocky conditions. It exhibits the natural twisting forms typical of this species, where the heartwood decays faster than the exterior. The tree’s rugged appearance is a testament to the harsh environments it endures. It was previously showcased at the first U.S. National Bonsai Exhibition in 2008.
