Initially found by David Easterbrook in a nursery with unattractive graft unions, the branches of this Shishigashira Japanese Maple were air layered to create a forest style. The original forest was created in 2008, and the bonsai has undergone further refinement since 2010, resulting in a beautifully balanced forest display.
